FAQs about Puppy Preschool

About Me
I thoroughly enjoy being around puppies, but my passion lies in raising happy, confident, and emotionally resilient dogs. Puppies are constantly learning, and the experiences they have during their sensitive period for socialisation, between three and 14 weeks of age, shapes their confidence, well-being, and sociability as adult dogs.
Science tells us that when puppies feel insecure, they are more likely to develop problematic behaviours later in life. By teaching them how to make good choices and helping them feel safe about their world, we can set them on the right path.
With a solid theoretical background in canine development and behaviour, I aim to help owners understand their puppy. Additionally, with over seven years of practical experience fostering shelter puppies, I truly understand the daily challenges and rewards of raising a young dog. And the hard work that it can entail!
I am excited to deliver the five-week puppy preschool programme in conjunction with Cashmere Veterinary Clinic. We aim to provide you with essential foundation skills that support a puppy’s well-being and your lifelong relationship together.

Testimonials
"Rachel thoroughly lives and breathes dogs and is very good at communicating her useful knowledge to all people in her class. Thoroughly recommend the class for the pup and the owner. And I’m lucky enough to have had 8 dogs so I'm not a complete newbie."
- PHIL & MURPHY THE DOG
"I have enjoyed learning about the positive reinforcement approach and have found it to be effective. I liked that puppy preschool was a small class and in a space (the vets) that I want my dog to be happy in.
"Thanks so much Rachel. You were so patient and kind with us"
